Celebrate Opening Day for Trailson the Middlesex Greenway

​Middlesex County, NJ – Warmer weather and longer daylight hours make this the perfect time of year to get outdoors and explore Middlesex County’s hiking, biking and walking trails.​

One of the most popular locations in the County to walk is the Middlesex Greenway, which will be the site of a Health Walk at 9:30 a.m. April 8.

​The event is being held in celebration of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s (RTC) fifth annual Opening Day for Trails, during which walkers and athletes from throughout the U.S. are invited to explore trails in their communities. The Middlesex Greenway is a former rail corridor that spans 3.5 miles through Metuchen, Edison and Woodbridge.
Walkers will meet for the event at the Metuchen Trailhead on Middlesex Avenue (County Route 501).
