Middlesex County, NJ – Warmer weather and longer daylight hours make this the perfect time of year to get outdoors and explore Middlesex County’s hiking, biking and walking trails. One of the most popular locations in the County to walk is the Middlesex Greenway, which will be the site of a Health Walk at 9:30 a.m. April 8. The event is being held in celebration of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s (RTC) fifth annual Opening Day for Trails, during which walkers and athletes from throughout the U.S. are invited to explore trails in their communities. The Middlesex Greenway is a former rail corridor that spans 3.5 miles through Metuchen, Edison and Woodbridge. Walkers will meet for the event at the Metuchen Trailhead on Middlesex Avenue (County Route 501).
