Cedar Grove Cedar Grove Community Park 6pm–9pm Sponsored by the Police Department and the Cedar Grove Municipal Alliance Committee, this event features free food & drinks, music, and amusements for children, including rides, a petting zoo and pony rides. Admission is free. Fairfield Hollywood Ave. 5:pm–9pm Celebrate National Night Out in Fairfield with delicious food, DJ music, prizes, and a whole lot of fun all night long. Glen Ridge Glen Ridge Community Pool 5pm–7pm Bring your bathing suit and have some fun with members of your community and the Glen Ridge Police Department. Swim, play games, and eat hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice pops. Two senior parking passes will be raffled off at the event.
Livingston Robert H. Harp Drive 5:30pm–10pm Enjoy a family-friendly night of fun hosted by the Livingston Police Department. With games, rides, music, karaoke, food, a helicopter landing, giveaways, and safety demonstrations all taking place, you'll want to bring the whole family. Keep an eye out for a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog!
Maplewood Dehart Park 6pm–9pm Feature music, food, bounce houses, and more, Maplewood's National Night Out is a great opportunity to get to know the Police Department while having a blast with your children, friends, and family.
Montclair South Park Street 6pm–9pm Join Montclair's police department for a great night out with the entire community. Face painting, music from a DJ, bounce houses, interactive activities, and emergency vehicles with their equipment will round out the fun time.
South Orange Floods Hill 5:30pm There's something for everyone at South Orange's National Night Out– live music from "Aisle Five," giveaways and freebies, food truck vendors, a Kids Zone with bounce houses, water slides, activities, and even more. Located in what was then Verona and is now Cedar Grove, the facility housed mentally ill patients who required daily care. The site was selected due to its remote, high altitude location, which, it was believed, could provide a healthy, peaceful setting for patients to rehabilitate in.
